Playrix is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to join our Technology team, focusing on our core game engine, essential platform services, and developer tools that power our acclaimed games.We champion a product-oriented approach, fostering a culture of shared best practices, and demanding the highest standards of quality and reliability in every solution we deliver.
What You'll Do
- Lead & Grow Teams: Build, coach, and mentor a strong team of engineers, cultivating an environment of high performance, autonomy, and continuous professional growth.
- Strategic Roadmapping: Partner with Technical Producers to define, prioritize, and execute the technical product roadmap for the game engine, platform services, and internal tools.
- Drive Engineering Excellence: Continuously analyze and enhance our engineering practices, scrutinizing tech stack, tools, solution designs, and production/operations efficiency and quality, leading initiatives for improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Extensive Engineering Background: 10+ years of hands-on experience in engineering (across mobile, web, or desktop environments), with at least 5+ years in senior management roles.
- Proven Team Leadership: Demonstrated experience managing a team of 10-30 engineers, with a strong track record of fostering a culture of independent and self-organized teams.
- Process Improvement Catalyst: Experience in change management and successfully building/improving efficient production, delivery, and operations processes at a departmental level.
- Strong Technical Foundation: Deep technical expertise and previous hands-on experience as a software engineer, preferably with large mobile or desktop products (iOS/Android native, C++/C#/Java/Scala).
- Proactive & Impact-Oriented: Possess an action-oriented, self-starter mindset and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Bar Raiser Mentality: You are inherently dissatisfied with the status quo, constantly challenging yourself, your teams, and your peers to strive for greater innovation and efficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with high-load products featuring distributed architectures.
- Familiarity with our core stack: C++, Python, Go, JavaScript.
- Experience producing tools for mobile/desktop product development.
- A strong understanding of game engine architecture.
- Nice to have: Experience with complex in-house or Unity/Unreal game engines.
