Inviox Studios is seeking a highly talented and experienced Lead Animator with 7+ years of solid experience in the movie film industry to join our growing team. As a Lead Animator, you will be instrumental in overseeing the animation direction of our diverse projects, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistently top-tier animation quality, and significantly shaping the visual storytelling of our innovative games and compelling cinematics.What we are looking for
- 7+ years of solid and demonstrable experience as a professional Animator in the movie film industry.
- Expertise in creating high-quality, cinematic-level animations for a wide range of elements including characters, creatures, intricate environments, and engaging cutscenes.
- Deep and comprehensive understanding of core animation principles, including precise timing, realistic weight, fluid motion, and the nuanced ability to effectively convey emotion and distinct personality through movement.
- Extensive proficiency in industry-standard animation software, such as Maya, 3DS Max, Blender, and other relevant professional tools.
- Proven experience with rigging, posing, and the application of both keyframe and motion-capture animation techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and guide animation teams, ensuring consistently high-quality output and maintaining a cohesive creative direction across multiple concurrent projects.
- Excellent collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work seamlessly and productively with artists, game designers, software developers, and technical teams.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to clearly present and iterate on animation concepts with both creative and technical stakeholders.
- Upper-intermediate level of English language proficiency.
Nice-to-have
- Experience within the gaming industry, particularly in developing animations for interactive game elements such as player characters, non-player characters (NPCs), and dynamic combat systems.
- Familiarity with real-time animation systems commonly used in game engines like Unreal Engine or Unity.
- Experience working with motion capture data, including the process of integrating and refining it for use within gaming projects.
- Strong knowledge of character animation, detailed facial animation, and creating animations for dynamic, gameplay-driven sequences in games.
- Ability to work effectively with animation pipelines specifically tailored to gaming projects and optimize animations for performance across various target platforms (PC, console, VR/AR).
- Understanding of the technical constraints of game engines and practical experience in adapting cinematic-quality animation to real-time interactive environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead and create high-quality animations for a diverse range of assets including characters, creatures, environments, and cinematic sequences, ensuring seamless integration with the overall visual direction of the game or film project.
- Work closely and collaboratively with art directors, game designers, and software developers to maintain consistent and exceptional animation quality across all visual assets within a project.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior animators, contributing to the elevation of their skills and maintaining consistently high standards across the entire animation team.
- Innovate and implement new animation techniques and approaches to continuously enhance the visual storytelling and overall player experience within our projects.
- Collaborate effectively with technical teams to ensure that animations are properly optimized for performance and function smoothly within the target game engine.
- Manage the complete animation pipeline from initial concept and pre-production through final implementation, ensuring that project deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
- Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and creative meetings to contribute innovative ideas and provide valuable feedback on the animation style and overall visual direction of new and ongoing projects.
