As a crucial member of our studio’s leadership team, you will be responsible for guiding critical engineering decisions, architecting scalable and robust game systems, and ensuring consistently high code quality across multiple game titles. If you possess a deep passion for games, a commitment to engineering excellence, and a proven ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams — we are eager to connect with you. What We Are Looking For
- 6+ years of proven professional experience in game development, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership or senior engineering role, demonstrating increasing responsibility and impact.
- Deep and comprehensive proficiency in both C++ and C#, along with a strong understanding of game engine architecture, ideally with hands-on experience in both Unreal Engine and Unity.
- A demonstrable track record of successfully leading and effectively mentoring multidisciplinary development teams, fostering collaboration and growth.
- Solid and in-depth understanding of performance optimization techniques, efficient memory management strategies, and effective debugging methodologies within game development.
- Extensive experience working with industry-standard version control systems (e.g., Git, Perforce) and implementing robust Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with a proactive and solution-oriented mindset when tackling technical challenges.
- Highly organized with the ability to effectively manage priorities and comfortable working within both agile and milestone-driven production cycles.
- Upper-intermediate to fluent English language proficiency, enabling clear and effective communication within our international team.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience in shipping successful game titles across multiple platforms or with significant multiplayer components.
- Familiarity with backend integration technologies (APIs, databases, cloud functions) to support online features and services.
- Strong knowledge in specialized areas such as artificial intelligence (AI) for games, realistic physics systems implementation, or advanced real-time rendering techniques.
- Previous experience in building and scaling internal development tools or efficient content pipelines to enhance team productivity.
- Comfortable and effective collaborating with team members working across different time zones (specifically around Central European Time (CET) ±3 hours).
Responsibilities
- Lead the overall technical architecture and guide the development of multiple innovative game projects, ensuring a cohesive and scalable technical vision.
- Collaborate closely with producers, game designers, artists, and quality assurance (QA) teams to architect and build scalable, high-performance game systems that meet project requirements.
- Provide strong technical leadership to the engineering team through effective planning, accurate estimation of tasks, and successful execution of development goals.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, enforce coding best practices and standards, and help maintain clean, efficient, and well-structured codebases across projects.
- Solve complex, high-level technical challenges proactively and provide expert support for the implementation of core game systems.
- Actively participate in the hiring process, provide valuable mentorship to junior engineers, and contribute to the growth and development of our engineering team.
- Ensure the creation and maintenance of strong and comprehensive technical documentation and foster effective knowledge-sharing practices within the engineering team.
Note: If you feel strongly that you have what it takes for this role but don’t check 100% of the boxes—that’s okay—we encourage you to apply anyway and highlight what you can bring to the table.
