Description

We are seeking a Director of Strategy to join our leadership team. This is a critical role that blends client-facing strategic leadership with internal coaching and operational development. You will guide our client strategy, lead a talented team of strategists, and be accountable for delivering on key client KPIs and driving revenue growth. If you are an experienced B2B marketing leader with a passion for both client outcomes and team development, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Revenue
  • Lead strategic planning for 5–10 of our key accounts.
  • Deliver strategies directly tied to client KPIs, funnel stages, and ROI.
  • Identify and scope upsell opportunities and support our Account Managers with renewals and proposals.
  • Report on performance and manage the expansion pipeline to ensure client success and revenue growth.
Team & Systems
  • Mentor and develop the Strategy team, helping them grow and excel.
  • Improve our strategic frameworks, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and toolsets to enhance our capabilities.
  • Oversee the hiring and onboarding of new strategists.
  • Lead trainings and contribute to our internal content and knowledge base.

What Makes You a Great Fit

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B marketing strategy, whether from an agency, consulting, or fractional role.
  • Strong track record of delivering KPI-driven client outcomes.
  • Expertise in SEO, content marketing, and funnel strategy.
  • Proven ability to mentor team members and lead strategic projects.
  • Proficiency with tools like Ahrefs, Google Analytics, HubSpot, and Databox.
  • Bonus: Experience with Reddit strategy, AI content tools, or GEO frameworks.
  • Available to work Eastern or Atlantic time zone hours.

What Success Looks Like

  • Strategy Quality Score: Maintain an internal and client score of 90%+.
  • Client KPI Achievement: Achieve KPIs for 90%+ of your accounts.
  • Upsell Opportunities: Scope at least 5 upsell opportunities per quarter.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive annual book of business revenue growth.
  • Team & Leadership: Receive positive team feedback and performance reviews, and demonstrate a clear ability to manage multiple clients and mentor a team.
