Description

As a BI Analyst at Sporty, you'll be mining through petabytes of data to provide key insights that drive core business decisions. You'll create dashboards used daily by product managers, traders, and executives, and provide in-depth reports on various areas of the business with complete freedom on your methodology.

Our analysts also play a key role in ensuring the stability of our reporting infrastructure, which is vital for delivering accurate and consistent reports to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Set up and execute ETL functions to build a data pipeline.
• Extract and analyze large datasets from MySQL.
• Perform performance tuning for new and existing queries to ensure full database resource utilization.
• Deliver clear analysis and reporting of core business metrics to stakeholders.
• Create and manage reports and dashboards.
• Enhance and optimize existing reporting processes.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and reporting for clients and stakeholders.
• Aid in reconfiguring existing architecture and database structure to address evolving needs.
• Conduct daily maintenance and monitoring of all BI-related databases and dashboards, including proficient handling of emergencies.
• Provide actionable insights to drive the growth of core products.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a similar data-driven role.
• Excellent working knowledge of SQL.
• Familiarity with Python and a range of BI and data visualization tools.
• Strong knowledge of ETL data pipelines.
• Strong knowledge of A/B Testing.
• Familiarity with Airflow.
• Understanding of the principles of relational databases and data warehouses.
• A strong understanding of sports and gaming is beneficial.
• Proactive and self-driven with excellent analytical skills.
• The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Great communication skills.
• Relevant knowledge or experience in the gaming industry.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with machine learning.
