Description
We're seeking a Principal Engineer to play a crucial role in enhancing our technical product quality, including strategy and architecture. You'll be instrumental in leading the growth of Go expertise within the team and driving key product and engineering initiatives at the department level.What You'll Do
- Lead Product & Technical Initiatives: Drive initiatives from concept to completion at the department level, which includes gathering requirements, collaborating with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams, developing solutions, and meticulously decomposing and estimating tasks.
- Architect Scalable Services: Design robust service architectures that align perfectly with product requirements.
- Ensure Technical Product Quality: Define the strategy and vision for our technical products, prioritize critical tasks, and manage planning to uphold high standards.
- Manage Team Tools & Technologies: Take ownership of the tools and technologies used within the team, ensuring they support efficient and high-quality development.

- Go, AWS, DynamoDB, S3, SQS, Kinesis, Kubernetes, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Redis, Grafana, Elasticsearch, Kibana
What You'll Bring
- 6+ years in backend development, with a strong emphasis on 3+ years specifically in Go (designing and developing services from scratch).
- 2+ years of experience in a similar leadership or senior technical role (e.g., Tech Lead, Team Lead, Engineering Manager).
- Demonstrated experience in developing high-load projects.
- Expertise in architecture design, including creating new services and defining detailed database schemas.
- A commitment to ensuring high-quality code development through rigorous unit and integration testing.
