Description

We're searching for a Lead Node.js Engineer to head a team of 2-3 Senior Developers and 1 QA. In this pivotal role, you'll ensure efficient delivery, provide people management, maintain technical product quality (strategy and architecture), and drive key product and technical initiatives.

What You'll Do

Team Leadership & Management:

• Oversee hiring, onboarding, evaluation, and professional growth for your team, including conducting regular 1:1s.
• Manage the team's routine development processes, such as estimation, decomposition, planning, and daily meetings.
• Actively participate in improving team processes to enhance efficiency and collaboration.

Technical Development & Initiative Driving:

• Develop robust server-side functionality for one of our flagship games.
• Lead critical product and technical initiatives from conception to completion.

Our Tech Stack

Node.js (Express.js), AWS, DynamoDB, Graphite, Git, Kibana

What You'll Bring

• 2+ years of experience in a similar leadership role (Team Lead or Engineering Manager).
• 7+ years of backend development experience, with 3-4 years specifically in Node.js (ES6+).
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript (ES6+).
• Proven experience in designing and developing APIs.
• Relevant experience in writing Unit and Integration tests.

Bonus Points For

• Experience working with DynamoDB and other NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, Redis, MongoDB).
• Experience in Python development.
• Experience working with Elasticsearch.
• Skills in working with monitoring systems (e.g., Graphite, Zabbix).
