Description

We're looking for an experienced Lead Software Engineer to drive the technical development of our games and cultivate a high-performing team. Our development teams are at the heart of our company's 20-year legacy of growth and innovation.

If you're a Unity developer eager to dive into C++, we'll support your transition with a specialized bootcamp and our own Unity-like engine. Many developers have successfully made this switch with us, making unique contributions to our projects.

What You'll Do

  • As a Lead Software Engineer, you'll be the technical backbone of a product, guiding your team in architecture, quality, development culture, and engineering practices. Your responsibilities will include:
  • People Management: Owning team development, hiring/firing decisions, and performance evaluations.
  • Process Development: Shaping and improving processes within your team and across the broader project.
  • Technical Leadership: Solving complex engineering problems, designing robust solution architectures, and ensuring rapid implementation.
  • Quality Assurance: Overseeing the stability and quality of game software.
  • Code & Design Review: Conducting thorough code and design reviews to maintain high standards.
  • Hands-on Development: Programming and refactoring game logic.

You'll lead efforts in key project areas

  • Feature Development: Creating new events and mini-games from scratch (e.g., competitions, Merge-style games).
  • Technical Optimization: Focusing on performance, stability, and SDK improvements (e.g., reducing loading times, memory consumption).
  • Match-3 & Meta: Working with graphics and core game mechanics (e.g., adding features, refactoring, optimizing).

Our Tech Stack

  • You'll be working with a modern and robust stack:
  • Languages: Primarily C++, with Lua and Python for specific tasks.
  • Graphics: OpenGL ES and Metal.
  • Engine: Our proprietary engine, continuously developed in-house, similar in scope to Unity or Unreal.
  • Practices: Advanced CI/CD, automated testing, rigorous code review processes, and more.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience: At least 3 years of experience developing commercial projects in C++ and/or Unity.
  • Production Readiness: Proven experience with projects released into production.
  • Leadership: A minimum of one year of experience managing a team of 3+ programmers.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Confident knowledge of modern C++ 14/17 standards and STL.
  • Experience with popular game engines like Unity, Unreal, Godot, Cocos2D, or Defold.
  • Experience developing casual mobile games.

Skills and competencies show up in different forms and can be based on different experiences, so we strongly encourage you to apply even if you don't have all the requirements listed above.
